Risk Factors of Self Mold Remediation

1/5/2022 (Permalink)

Mold remediation is best left to the professionals who can bring the proper tools and have the educated experience.  Improper mold remediation can result in the home becoming a hazard to the homeowner’s health.  Even with the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) there is still potential for exposure.

Adding to the risk of improperly removing mold could cause large amount of spores, which are not seen by the naked eye, to circulate throughout the home.  The microscopic spores can potentially grow into new infestations and could potentially start the cycle of remediation all over again.

During the process of the mold remediation most DYI jobs do not have the proper equipment or protection.  If you’re not using the proper equipment and not using them with proper techniques, you could be putting yourself and your family at risk.

To save yourself trouble and protect the health of not only yourself but your family, leave remediation up to the professionals.  If you find yourself in a situation where your home needs remediation call SERVPRO of Northwest Albuquerque at (505) 503-8627 where we are the professionals with the experience and training to help in a time of need.
