Walls getting dried out.

SERVPRO of Northwest Albuquerque received a call shortly after a rain storm from a panicked customer who believed there was a leak coming from the roof. Our technicians were quick to get to the job so that no further damage was done. Upon arrival our technicians were able to see that there was in fact a leak coming from the roof. The picture shows the after math of removing the roof to that we can dry up the wet walls and to make sure the leak gets taken care of so that in the future our customer does not have to worry about leaks during a rain storm. After the walls were dried our technicians were able to get it covered up and back to normal. We made sure this was a painless process for our customer.

There is no way that one can be prepared for disaster 100 percent of the time, that's why SERVPRO of Northwest Albuquerque is a 24/7 service. When you need us we will be there. We received a call about a leak going through the roof after a snow storm started melting. Snow storms are pretty common in New Mexico but it is still difficult to be prepared at all times. The picture shows how the roof had to be opened up to fix the leak and dry up the walls. Our technicians are experts at what they do therefore no job is too small or too little for them to handle. Our customers are our priority and making sure their things are in good conditions after a tragedy.

Water leaking through the ceiling.

After a unexpected snow storm hit Albuquerque, New Mexico many people in the city were excited to see the snow but as many as you know, New Mexico has some crazy weather conditions. After a few days, once the snow had melted, SERVPRO of Northwest Albuquerque received a call about a customer who noticed some water damage on the a side of his roof through inside. It seemed like there was a leak after the snow melted. After SERVPRO of Northwest Albuquerque was able to track down from where the water leak was coming from and get it fixed up. Our team was also able to make sure that the ceiling looked as good as new after we were able to identify where the damage was coming from. We strive to make it as seamless for our customers.

It hard to predict when disaster can happen. With that being said, it is always a good idea to have a back up plan OR you can always give SERVPRO of Northwest Albuquerque a call to take care of it for you. We are always ready to help, even if it is a few days after a storm and tragedy doesn't happen until after. After a few days past a rainstorm our customer gave us a call explaining that there was some water leaking through his roof in the garage and since he is not often in the garage he was unaware of how long it had been sitting there as is. SERVPRO of Northwest Albuquerque is always ready to help and make sure things are back to normal for our customer.

Melted snow on hard wood floors

Winter is quickly arriving. Lets start protecting our homes now. Winter can be a tough time for a variety of reasons. One area of your home that can suffer during winter is your hardwood flooring. Snow sticks to our shoes and we track it in the house without knowing. It can then come of your shoes and melt on the hardwood floor, leaving little puddles of ice cold water all over the place. Which could be dangerous for family members in your home as well as for your hardwood floors.

One of the most effective ways to prevent water damage in the winter is to eliminate the amount of water being tracked onto your hardwood floors. Welcome mats and runners can help to remove any excess snow and water from shoes when entering the home. You can also ask guests to remove their shoes when they enter your home.

When your hardwood floors are exposed to water, the best way to prevent water damage is to clear up the spill immediately. Soak up the liquid with paper towels or cloths to reduce the amount of moisture that is absorbed by the wood.

If it’s too late to prevent water damage to your hardwood floors, then you’ll need to know how to treat them. In extreme cases, your flooring may need to be replaced, if the wood has become warped, for example.
